Conventional Built-up Roofing (BUR)

Modified Bitumen Roofing

Composite Roofing Systems

GAFTEMP PERMALITE Roof Insulation

GAFTEMP PERMALITE Roof Insulation is a rigid mineral aggregate insulation board composed of expanded perlite, cellulose fibers, binders, and water-resisting agents. Its tough top surface is treated to retain bitumen for a tight bond with the membrane. Available in 24" x 48" and 48" x 48" boards

Uses:
  • A thermal insulation and base for most roofing membranes over most structural deck.
  • A layer to protect foam insulations from hot asphalts.
  • A protective layer over soft insulation susceptible to traffic damage.
  • When FMRC and/or UL approved systems are specified.

Water Barrier

Water Barrier is a flexible sheet made of specially compounded PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resins. Available in 10, 20, 30, and 56 mil thicknesses, the sheet forms a barrier keeping external moisture from damaging the structure. The product is designed for use in unexposed applications such as below grade and behind or beneath other building components. 10, 20, and 30 mil sheets are available in 4', 5', and 6' wide rolls, and 56 mil sheets are available in 3' wide rolls.
 
Uses:
  • Provides protection from moisture damage to buildings, building components, and building contents.
Advantages:
  • Bridges structural cracks resulting from concrete curing or minor building movement.
  • Chemical and bacteria resistant.
  • Can be factory-cut to specifications.
  • Variety of thicknesses and widths to meet virtually any job requirement.
  • Puncture and tear resistant. 
  • Chemically compatible with mortar and concretes.
  • Use with Lexsuco CA 103 to seal laps, and Lexsuco CA 106 to adhere to substrate.

Their core is a strong, resilient, non-woven polyester mat that is coated with weather resistant, polymer-modified asphalt. "FR"-designated membranes are coated with an inherently fire retardent polymer-modified asphalt. RUBEROID torch-applied membranes are designed for new roofing and reroofing applications as well as construction of flashings. They are also an ideal product for the repair of built-up roofing systems.
