There are two separate jobs in a leak. The first is stopping water getting into the house, which sometimes means a tarp at seven in the evening. The second is fixing the actual cause properly once it is dry enough to work.
Doing the second without the first costs people ceilings and insulation while they wait for a slot. Doing the first and calling it finished is how a leak comes back in the next storm. Both matter.

What to know
Repair is often the right answer
On a sound roof with localised damage, a proper repair buys real years. We would rather do a repair right than sell a replacement that was not needed.
The leak is rarely where the stain is
Water runs along decking and rafters before it drops. The wet patch on your ceiling is where it landed, not where it came in — which is why chasing the stain does not work.
Penetrations before field
Chimneys, vents, skylights and valleys are where leaks start. Open shingle field almost never leaks on its own.
Decking may need replacing
A leak that has been going a while will have softened the decking underneath. Putting new shingles over soft decking wastes the repair.
Common questions
I have water coming in right now. What do I do?
Call (817) 656-2288 and say the leak is active. Move what you can out from under it and put a bucket down. The first job is stopping the damage; the proper repair follows.
Can you repair it, or does the whole roof need doing?
Depends on the condition of the rest of the roof. If the shingles around the damage are still pliable and sealed, a repair holds. If the roof is brittle and losing granules everywhere, a repair is money spent twice. We will show you which one you have.
Why does my leak keep coming back?
Usually because the shingles were replaced but the flashing was not, or because the leak was chased to the ceiling stain rather than to where water is actually entering.
