Siding, Soffit & Fascia
The roof gets the attention, but the soffit and fascia are what fail first — and they are the part water reaches when the roof edge lets go.
Fascia is the board running along the roof edge that the gutter hangs on. Soffit is the underside, tucked in beneath the overhang. Neither gets looked at until paint is peeling or something has got into the attic, and by then the damage has usually been going a while.
They fail for a specific reason: they are the first thing water touches when a gutter overflows or a roof edge lets go. That is why we would rather look at the roof and the trim together — fixing one and ignoring the other means coming back.

What to know
Rotten fascia behind the gutter
Water backs up behind a full gutter and sits against the fascia board. The gutter hides it until the board is soft and the fasteners no longer hold.
Soffit is how animals get in
A gap in the soffit is an open door to the attic for squirrels, wasps, and birds. It is also how attic ventilation is supposed to work, so a badly done repair causes a different problem.
Siding that has taken hail
The same storm that bruises a roof cracks and dents siding. If a claim is already open for the roof, the siding belongs in the same conversation rather than a separate job next year.
One crew, one trip
Roof, fascia, soffit and siding are the same trip for us. Separate contractors mean separate schedules, separate cleanups, and each one blaming the other when something leaks.
Common questions
Can you do the siding at the same time as the roof?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it — one mobilisation, one cleanup, one crew who cannot pass the blame to anyone else. Mention it when you call (817) 656-2288.
How do I know if my fascia is rotten?
Peeling paint along the roof edge, a gutter that has started to sag or pull away, or dark staining under the overhang. If you can push a screwdriver into the board, it has gone. The inspection is free.
Do you handle insurance claims for siding?
Yes. Hail damages siding as well as roofing, and if a claim is already open for the roof, the siding should be documented in the same claim rather than missed.
