Roof Replacement
Tear-off, decking checked and repaired, new roof on, and a yard you would not know we had been in.
A roof replacement is mostly invisible work. The shingles are the part you see, but what decides whether the roof lasts is underneath them — the condition of the decking, how the valleys and penetrations are flashed, and whether the attic can breathe once it is all closed up.
That is also where corners get cut, because nobody can see them afterwards. We tear off rather than shingle over, we look at the decking with the old roof off, and we tell you before we go further if what is under there changes anything.

What to know
Tear-off, not shingle-over
Going over the top of an old roof is faster and cheaper and it hides the decking. Extra layers add weight, trap heat, and shorten the life of whatever goes on top. We take the old roof off.
Decking gets looked at
With the old roof off, rot and soft spots are visible for the first time in years. Finding some is normal on an older house. What is not normal is being told about it only when the invoice arrives.
Ventilation is part of the job
A sealed-up attic cooks the new roof from underneath and can take years off it. Ventilation is cheap while the roof is open and expensive to revisit later.
The cleanup counts
Nails in the driveway are what people remember, and rightly so. Magnet rolled over the whole property before we leave.
Common questions
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most houses are one to two days once we start, weather permitting. Larger or more complicated roof lines take longer. We will give you a realistic number rather than an optimistic one.
What happens if you find rotten decking?
We show you, explain what it changes, and do not go further until you say so. It is common on older homes and it should never be a surprise at the end.
Do I have to be home?
No. Plenty of replacements happen while people are at work. If there is anything fragile in the attic or on the walls, tell us beforehand — the work shakes the structure more than people expect.
